Courtney Love Pretends to be Good
Giving perhaps the best performance of her short acting career, skanky Courtney Love appeared before a Family Court judge in California in a bid to regain custody of her daughter with the late rocker Kurt Cobain, Francis Bean. Francis, 11, has been in the custody of her paternal grandmother, Wendy O'Connor, since Love was arrested last week after attempting to break into the home of her on-again, off-again boyfriend Jim Barber. The loony front-woman of the rock band Hole was on an OxyContin binge when she commited the crime and was immediately commited for 72 hours against her will as a threat to herself. Love did admit to the judge that she left suicidal messages on an answering machine, but says that didn't mean she really wanted to kill herself. Love said, "Yes, I was changing my will that week. I left a message that was like, 'I want to die, I want to jump off the Empire State Building,'" but then went onto to say that she didn't think she would be taken seriously. And her reasoning for why all this insane behavior did not adversely effect her daughter? Because Francis was not with her mother, but was in the care of a live-in nanny at the time. Yeah, that's a good argument that you're a responsible parent. The judge has not yet ruled on the custody issue.
